A Guide to Family Safety and Resilience

The aim of the project – to implement a set of public activities to strengthen the safety and resilience of families in the Latgale Planning Region by promoting psychologically and emotionally supportive relationships in families with children through various safety and resilience strategies. The project seeks to create preconditions for positive child development and social integration while fostering understanding of human security at the community, regional, and national levels.

The project’s direct target group includes  families from the Latgale Planning Region (Daugavpils, Krāslava, Rēzekne): 80 children under the age of 18 and 40 persons responsible for the care of children under the age of 18.

Total number of the project target group – 120 persons.

Project results – the project activities will promote a friendly and supportive environment for families, enhance psychological and emotional resilience, and strengthen family safety and resilience.

Implementation locations – the cities of Daugavpils, Krāslava, and Rēzekne in the Latgale Planning Region.

Implementation period – 13 April 2026 – 14 September 2026

Project budget – EUR 24,530.00

The project “A Guide to Family Safety and Resilience”, No. 2026.LV/ĢDV/044, is funded by the European Union within the framework of the European Social Fund Plus project “Development of a Family-Friendly Environment and Society”, Project No. 4.3.6.9/1/24/I/001. Responsibility for the content of the project lies with the Daugavpils University Society for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Park of Intellect”.
