Registration is now open for the “Safety Academy” event in Daugavpils

On 11 May 2026, within the framework of the project “A Guide to Family Safety and Resilience”, No. 2026.LV/ĢDV/044, the Daugavpils University Society for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Park of Intellect” is organising the “Safety Academy” event, which will provide families with a deeper understanding of human security.

The following activities will take place during the event:

Interactive training “Safety Up Close”;
Scenario-based simulations “I Feel Safe at Home”;
Digital interactive activity “Digital Citizen’s Safety Compass”;
Educational game “Safety Code”;
Scenario-based learning “Be Safe, but Don’t Be Reckless! How Can We Make the Urban Environment Friendlier for Everyone?”

The event will take place in the White Hall of Daugavpils Valstspilsētas Secondary School, 8 Kauņas Street, Daugavpils.

The event is funded by the European Union and takes place within the framework of the European Social Fund Plus project “Development of a Family-Friendly Environment and Society”, Project No. 4.3.6.9/1/24/I/001. Responsibility for the content of the event lies with the Daugavpils University Society for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Park of Intellect”.

Svarīgi: latviešu tekstā augšā projekta nosaukums ir “Ģimeņu drošumspējas ceļvedis”, bet pēdējā rindkopā – “Ģimeņu labbūtības navigators”. Tā kā abiem norādīts viens un tas pats projekta Nr. 2026.LV/ĢDV/044, visticamāk, pēdējā rindkopā ir palicis cita projekta nosaukums. Ja tas ir tas pats projekts, tur vajadzētu būt “A Guide to Family Safety and Resilience”, nevis “Family Well-being Navigator”.
