Projekta mērķis ir ieviest pasākumu un iniciatīvu kopu, kas sekmēs Biedrības divu stratēģisko mērķa grupu - Latvijā dzīvojošu trešo valstu pilsoņu un iedzīvotāju vecuma grupā 50+ un senioru iekļaušanos pilsoniskajā sabiedrībā, pilnveidojot projekta ieviesēju un abu mērķa grupu pilsoniskās kompetences un līdzdarbības modeļus, lai stiprinātu pilsoniskas sabiedrības ilgtspējīgu attīstību un demokrātiju Latvijā.
- Projekta laikā tiks nodrošināta sadarbība ar biedrībām Itālijā un Zviedrijā, kas izmanto inovatīvas pieejas darbā ar trešo valstu pilsoņiem, personām vecuma grupā 50+ un senioriem, veicinot viņu integrāciju un socializāciju pilsoniskā sabiedrībā.
- Tiks organizēta paneļdiskusija “No izaicinājumiem uz iespējām: trešo valstu pilsoņu integrācija Latvijā”, kurā tiks sniegts biedrības viedoklis par efektīvu trešo valstu pilsoņu integrēšanu Latvijas sabiedrībā.
- Biedrības organizētais tīklošanās pasākums nodrošinās sadarbību ar citām NVO Latvijā, kas pārstāv projekta mērķauditoriju – “sudraba vecuma” un trešo valstu pilsoņus.
- Projekta ietvaros paredzēts uzturēt un attīstīt biedrības prasmju klasteru mākoņrīku “MySkills”, kura mērķis ir veicināt trešo valstu pilsoņu savstarpējo sadarbību un iekļaušanos Latvijas tautsaimniecībā, veicinot mazā biznesa attīstību Latvijā, nodrošināt saskarsmi ar uzņemošo sabiedrību – Latvijas iedzīvotājiem.
Building Understanding of Hate Speech and Its Prevention in the Latvian Civic Community
The goal of the project - to develop a program, educational materials, and conduct a course called "We will teach how to prevent hate speech" in a format of a conversational club for third-country nationals, with the participation of Latvian citizens.
Implementation period- 18.09.2024. – 31.12.2024.
- To develop a programme and educational materials for a set of structural discussions “We will teach how to prevent hate speech”.
- To organise structural discussions for third-country nationals, young people and educators working with young people and adult citizens of Latvia, as well as third-country nationals.
- To publish the study in the ICERI2024 international conference proceedings, presenting the experiences and conclusions gained during the implementation of the project to an international audience.
“Let’s experience Latvia together”
The general aim of the project is to provide cultural orientation courses and three events for 236 Ukrainian civilians who are either preschool-aged children or of school-going age (grades 1-12), promoting cooperation between Ukrainian civilians and Latvian society.
Implementation period: 01.07.2024. – 31.12.2024.
- To enhance understanding of the Latvian state, society, history, and culture.
- To promote the improvement and use of Latvian language skills in the learning process and in the social and cultural activities of the local community.
- To develop and strengthen Latvian language skills necessary for studying in Latvian and for integration into the Latvian education system and society.
- To promote the well-being of Ukrainian civilian children in Latvia by utilizing various supportive therapy elements.
The Opportunity Society. Intercultural Communication Training for Professionals from Various Fields to Strengthen the Framework for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals
The general aim of the project "Opportunity Society. Intercultural Communication Training for Professionals in Various Fields to Strengthen the Framework for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals" is to promote the realization of fundamental rights of third-country nationals and their inclusion in Latvian society by improving access to services and the quality of services. Implementation period – 01.09.2024. - 31.10.2026.
- To build understanding of constructive dialogue between third-country nationals and Latvian society.
- To improve the knowledge of professionals in various fields about societal diversity and intercultural communication.

Project is to provide cultural orientation courses and events that promote cooperation between Ukrainian civilians and Latvian society. Specific aim of the project - strengthen Ukrainian civilians’ understanding of Latvian history, culture, and society by implementing cultural orientation courses and socialization events. This will promote the target audience’s inclusion in Latvian society and foster cooperation with the host community.
