Within the framework of the Society “Park of Intellect” project “The Power of Participation” (No. 2025.LV/NVOF/MAC/071), an interdisciplinary modular programme “INTEGLAT” is being implemented to support integration and the acquisition of Latvian citizenship (naturalisation).
Within the framework of the programme, Latvian language classes are provided for third-country nationals and non-citizens. The classes are taught by the programme’s co-authors – educator Dr. philol. Ingrīda Kupšāne and Mg. hist. Andris Kupšāns. The learning process is designed to be practical and interactive, promoting the development of the state language skills for everyday communication, as well as preparing participants for the acquisition of Latvian citizenship. This includes a module that covers the basics of Latvian history and culture, as well as the fundamental provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia. The programme “INTEGLAT” makes a significant contribution to social cohesion by strengthening participation, language skills, and understanding of Latvia’s civic space.
This publication has been prepared with financial support from the Society Integration Foundation, using funds from the Latvian state budget.
