From 1 April 2026, the clothing collection created by Ukrainian artist Olena Riumina will be on display at “Vietvalži”. The exhibition presents a unique opportunity to view clothing as a form of storytelling – each garment has been created as a visual narrative about identity, belonging, and the inner world of the individual. The collection combines contemporary artistic vision with profound cultural experience, intertwining traditional motifs and modern means of expression to create a dialogue between the past and the present. This exhibition is not only about fashion – it is about cultural resilience and the power of creativity at a time when preserving and highlighting one’s roots is especially important. It invites visitors not only to observe, but also to experience how personal and collective stories are revealed through fabric, colour, and form. “Vietvalži” becomes another destination in the journey of the collection, expanding its significance at the national level and strengthening cultural connections between people and places.
The exhibition of the clothing collection “Memory Code” by the Society “Park of Intellect” will be on view at the “Vietvalži” branch in Sala Parish of the Babīte Centre for Cultural Education, Mārupe Municipality, from 1 April to 20 May 2026.
The exhibition was created within the framework of the Society Integration Foundation programme “Cultural Orientation Courses and Integration Activities for Ukrainian Civilians”, funded by the Latvian state budget, through the Society “Park of Intellect” projects “STRONG TOGETHER-3” and “STRONG TOGETHER-4”.
