From 23 to 24 May 2025, a variety of events will be organised within the framework of the project “Family Well-being Navigator”, No. 2025.LV/GDV/025/L24, providing families with information about financial literacy.
On 23 May 2025 at 6:00 p.m., the “Financial Literacy School” will take place. It will be an interactive programme featuring sessions on the following topics:
Adults aged 18 and over are invited to register for the “Financial Literacy School”.
On 23 May 2025 at 6:00 p.m., the “Children’s Game Tournament Using Financial Thinking Training Tools” will take place. Through engaging games, children will learn the basic principles of financial behaviour and develop an understanding of how to balance needs and wants.
The event is intended for children.
On 24 May 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the “Family Entrepreneurship Initiative Hackathon” will take place. Families from Daugavpils will participate in an educational hackathon aimed at promoting cooperation within newly formed teams and developing ideas for the business environment.
The event is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
On 24 May 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the simulation game for young people “My Budget” will take place. The simulation game will be led by a nutrition specialist in cooperation with a financial specialist.
Young people will select goods and products to create their own shopping baskets, including healthy snacks for different situations, such as school breaks, travel and parties. They will explain their choices and receive comments and recommendations from the nutrition and financial specialists.
The event is intended for young people aged 13 to 17.
The events will conclude with an award ceremony for the winners of the creative competition “My Family Wallet”.
