During the opening event of the One-Stop Agency Daugavpils Branch of the Society Integration Foundation (hereinafter – SIF) on January 18, 2024, Daugavpils University Association for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Intellect Park” was visited by the Director of the SIF Secretariat, Zaiga Pūce and the Public Relations Manager, Ilze Sarkanābola.
During the visit, discussions were held regarding the activities of the SIF programmes implemented by the association “Intellect Park”. The association showcased video materials related to the implementation of the projects within the framework of the Latvian state budget-funded programme “Cultural Orientation Courses and Inclusion Measures for Ukrainian Civilians”, specifically the projects “STRONG TOGETHER. СИЛЬНІ РАЗОМ”, ID No. 2023.LV/UKR_KO/06, and “STRONG TOGETHER-2. СИЛЬНІ РАЗОМ-2”, ID No. 2023.LV/UKR_KO/18. During the discussions, Maija Burima, the Chairperson of the board of“Intellect Park”, highlighted the high results achieved by the participants of the project “Latvian Language Classes for Ukrainian Civilians” in the national language proficiency exams organized by the National Center for Education. She also outlined the association’s future plans and activities.
The management of the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) familiarized themselves with the needs of the association’s target audience and provided recommendations regarding the thematic priorities of projects supported by SIF.
