The project ““Shoulder to Shoulder”” has been approved!
Project goal
To implement a set of activities that promote the socioeconomic integration of Ukrainian civilians who have arrived in Latvia seeking refuge from Russia’s military aggression. The project aims to provide opportunities for children and young people to learn the Latvian language and to develop entrepreneurial skills among adults, using innovative and educational support tools.
Implementation period: 03.03.2025 to 30.10.2025
Latvian language lessons for Ukrainian civilians – children and young people
Interactive entrepreneurship support programme “There’s a place to stay, there’s a place to start”
Consultations and prototype development for Ukrainian civilians to start their own businesses
Volunteer training programme “You Will Be the Light”
Project target group:15 Ukrainian civilians (children and youth); 60 Ukrainian civilians (adults); 10 volunteers.
Project results: Ukrainian civilians (children and youth) will improve their Latvian language skills necessary for getting education in Latvian. Ukrainian civilians (adults) will enhance their knowledge, skills, and competences required to facilitate their integration into Latvia’s socioeconomic environment.
