The association “Intellect Park” has received financial support for the implementation of the project “Latvian Language Classes for Ukrainian Civilians” within the Latvian state budget-funded programme in 2023.

Since March 1, 2023, Daugavpils University Association for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Intellect Park” has been implementing project No. 2023.LV/LVUKR/07 of the Latvian state budget-funded programme “Latvian Language Classes for Ukrainian Civilians” of the Society Integration Fund.

In total, it is planned to implement Latvian language courses in the amount of 120 hours for 240 Ukrainian civilians within the project.

Classes are conducted both in-person and remotely. Morning and evening groups at levels A1, A2, and B1 are offered. The majority of the target audience is made up of participants from previous courses who continue their studies and improve their Latvian language proficiency. Within the project, it is planned that those course participants who achieve at least level A2 will apply for the state language proficiency examination organized by the National Center for Education.
