Apply for the training course “Diversity in Society and Intercultural Communication”

We invite teachers and school administrators to apply for the free training course “Diversity in Society and Intercultural Communication”!

Daugavpils University Society for Lifelong Learning, Culture, and Science Communication “Intellect Park” is implementing the project “Society of Opportunities. Intercultural Communication Training for Professionals in Various Fields to Strengthen the Integration Framework for Third-Country Nationals.”

Our team consists of highly qualified instructors who are experts and professionals in the field.

The courses will address key issues in the intercultural communication, providing valuable insights and practical skills to support daily work with third-country nationals.

In this course, you will explore six important topics:

  1. international law and professional ethics;
  2. cultural competence and understanding of cultural standards;
  3. intercultural communication – modes, styles, and differences in communication and perception across cultures;
  4. stereotypes and prejudices;
  5. key fundamentals of discrimination and principles for its prevention;
  6. hate speech and hate crimes.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certificates.

The courses will take place in DAUGAVPILS during the autumn school break, from October 21 to October 25, 2024.
